This was beautiful top to bottom, John. Both the writing and the piano playing were very moving. I know it's 30 years on, but I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

On the music and faith front, I found my way back to a song I love earlier today, and it made me think about you and your earlier comment about running being an act of faith. It also made me think of you because the section on faith is one of my favorite melodies and lyrics in all music. The song and band are not for everyone, so no offense if it doesn't do anything for you, but I encourage you to check out the section beginning at 5:29 and running to around 7:30 or so. The lyrics are below, and I would like to highlight the genius use of "lured" instead of "Lord" and "heard" instead of "herd." Peter Steele, the band's singer, songwriter, and lyricist was, in my opinion, a genius. He struggled with alcoholism and other things before getting clean and becoming a Christian. Unfortunately, he died shortly thereafter. Anyway ...

Speak the name of He created thee all to be which should not be spoken

No laws broken

Now light and love

The stars above which fall upon thee all that worship the beast

Influence ceased

My soul's on fire

My faith is an ember, burning ever

Working towards a greater reward

Serving my lured

Built his home upon the rock

Not of the flock, but coming as a shepherd

Guarding his heard

My soul's on fire

Always have a project. I like that very much. When started The Eddy Network Podcast a year ago (YouTube - https://tinyurl.com/42xx39ph), I decided to do everything myself so I could learn every facet of the process. Learning how to find guests, schedule them, talk with them, and then edit our conversation for distribution was an intense experience. Also, I decided to do two episodes a week which means I was always scheduling, talking, editing, and distributing. As year two approaches, the project container takes me in new directions without abandoning the original mission or approach. Am I master of the craft yet? No, but I can see it in the horizon. Thanks for this excellent description of how we can approach life.
